Do not feel embarrassed. Suppose you walk into the cafeteria and your lunch spot is littered with food from past lunch periods. Don’t just eat on top of it! What if those crumbs have something you are allergic too?
If you don’t feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the table do something about it! One way to handle the situation is for you, or someone else, to wipe up your space with a wet wipe, wash your hands (we wouldn’t want those old crumbs stuck to your hands now!), and safely enjoy your yummy lunch 🙂
