Usually people with food allergies are told to avoid Asian restaurants because allergies are generally not handled well. While this is unfortunately true, P.F. Chang’s is an exception. Not only is their food delicious, but their allergy policies make diners feel comfortable and safe.
The Plate: P.F. Chang’s meals usually come on all white plates or platters. However, if you have a food allergy, even the plate signals that your meal is safe. Once you have ordered, the waiter will tell you that your meal will be brought out on a circular plate with ‘P.F. Chang’s’ written around it – it’s how the kitchen communicates with you that YES, your food was prepared safely!
The Menu: P.F. Chang’s offers something for EVERYONE! When you arrive you simply tell them your allergies, and they will print a custom menu with all the items that are safe for you to have. Don’t be fooled – it’s not a menu with just a handful of items, the menus can be several pages long with hundreds of options!
I have visited P.F. Chang’s with friends who are allergic to the Top 8 and more! Not only did the customized menus STILL have options for my friends, but they also offered to make a custom dish that was not listed on the menu.
P.F. Chang’s even sells some of their products in stores – such as various types of Lo Mein, Egg Rolls, and more! These products are also labelled that they are allergy-safe! When I visit the store I make sure to fill my cart up with these delicious, safe, and easy-to-make meals!
Whenever I’m asked where I want to eat, P.F. Chang’s is the first to come to mind because I know that not only will my food be safe, but also delicious! I highly recommend visiting P.F. Chang’s. It is the epitome of comfort mixed with a fun, fine dining experience!
